I agree with you, it’s way easier to buy a costume than to try and make one, especially nowadays, when there are so many online that you can buy and some are really quite inexpensive and still look really good. Take, for example, that gangster lady one above, it looks really good, somewhat unique, being pink, and yet it’s not expensive.
These are great tips. I think the idea of reusing past costumes and possibly adding some new elements either from your own closet or by buying them from a costume site such as yours is a great way to go.

Me and my best friend have an adult halloween party to go to this year. It is going to be mostly couples at the party and we are both singles. We was wanting to go as something kinda together but separate at the same time, if that makes sense. Nothing cheesy. For example, the only idea we have came up with is bat-girl and superwoman. The costumes look great. Nowadays we have a lot of choices, when it comes to dress up for Halloween. All you need to do is do a little research, and get some ideas.

Where are the good thrift stores to find this kind of stuff? I know it is largely up to your imagination, but my local thrift stores are pretty are a little skimpy on the exotic outfits.
